Easy Cheesy Parmesan Fondue

Mouthwatering Parmesan and Cream Cheese Fondue

Me: “Hey, Sam, what should I make for the Duck game?”

Sam: “Fondue!”

Me: “Hey, Sam, what should I make when Grandma and Grandpa come over?”

Sam: “Fondue!”

Me: “Hey, Sam, what should I make….”

You get the picture? Sam loves fondue. But, not just any fondue. He loves an incredibly easy, quick, budget friendly, absolutely delicious, mouthwatering Parmesan Fondue blended with cream cheese and just a hint of garlic.

This recipe serves a crowd of fondue lovers. You’ll want 2-3 thinly sliced sourdough baguettes to handle all of the gooey goodness.

Sam loves it sooo much that I can’t always wait for a crowd or special occasion. So I often halve the recipe and just make a family batch to serve in a bowl. No need to keep it warm in a fondue pot, because we eat it sooo fast.

Ingredients List

  • 1 1/2 cups milk (nonfat works well)
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, cubed (no reduced fat for this one…too runny)
  • 1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese (not powder…but I do use the pre-grated Parmesan)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt (or 1/8 tsp garlic powder and 3/8 tsp salt)
  • 2-3 sourdough baguettes, thinly sliced

Method

In a large saucepan, cook and whisk the milk and cream cheese over low heat until cheese is melted.

Stir in Parmesan cheese and garlic salt.  Cook and stir until heated through.

Transfer to a fondue pot or mini slow cooker to keep warm. Serve with bread.
