The Windheims are carnivores, no doubt. Cheers are often heard when I announce steak is for dinner.
And, no matter if we’re grilling London Broil or skirt steak for fajitas, this is my numero uno favorite steak marinade.
Try it along with Honey-roasted Baby Potatoes or Mexican Pepper Salad.
Ingredients List
- 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp dry oregano
- 3 to 3 1/2 lbs steak of choice for the grill
Method
In a small bowl, whisk together wine vinegar, olive oil black pepper and oregano.
Place steak in a 9×13 inch baking dish. Pour marinade over top of steak and turn over to coat thoroughly.
Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and place in refrigerator for at least 8 but no more than 24 hours.
Cook steak over a medium-hot grill until meat is done to your taste. For grilling guidelines go here.
